Evatt To Visit Next Month
(Rec. J. 30 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day.
The Minister of External Affairs (Dr Evatt) has announced that he will visit Japan early in July to discuss “matters considered to be of increasing urgency” with the Supreme Allied Commander (General MacArthur). He received an official invitation from General MacArthur on Saturday, which was additional to a long-stand-ing invitation from General MacArthur to Mr Chifley and himself.
