A TRYING EXPERIENCE
A well-known Whangarci citizen, with a very good knowledge of cars, recently spent an evening with a business acquaintance.
Leaving for home after the street lights were out the motoring man had not gone very far before he discovered that he had a flat tyre.
He managed £o find his torch, only to discover that the batteries in this were very flat. However, with the aid of a few matches, and working mainly from memory, he managed to make a very smart job of changing the tyre, and was careful to put everything away in the tool box again.
Starting up he proceeded not more than five yards when he realised that there still was a flat tyre on the car. On getting out to investigate he made yet another discovery. -In his eagerness to make a really smart job of changing the wheel in darkness he had inadvertently changed the wrong wheel.
