Swan - Parrish

A pretty wedding of widespread interest was solemnised at the Salvation Army Citadel. Onehunga, on May 31, when Florence Evelyn, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Parrish, Onehunga, was married to Sydney Richard. Second son of Mr and Mrs \V. G. .Swan, Thames.

The bride looked charming as she entered the citadel with her father. She wore a gown of ivory embossed satin, Jeaturing a low neckline edged with satin rosettes and long ' tight-fitting sleeves. The slim fitting bodice fell into a long" train also edged with rosettes. Her beautiful tulle veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom and she carried a shower bouquet cf white and pale pink chrysanthemums and maidennair fern. ‘

In attendance was Miss June Booth as bridesmaid wearing a pale blue organdie dress., designed- with low neckline, puff sleeves and full flared skirt with organdie rosettes. An organdie rosette, from which fell a pale blue veil was worn on her hair and she carried a bouquet of pale pink and blue gladioli and carnations with 'maidenhair. Little Beverley Kc.vte, cf Whangarei, who was flower girl, was also dressed in pale blue organdie. Ihe bridegroom was attended by Mr Jack Stanley as best man. Mrs Parrish, the bride's mother, to receive her guests, wore a model frock of black silk crepe relieved with white. She was assisted by the bridegroom’s mother also dressed in black. Tlie bride travelled in a brick red suit relieved with black velvet, and black accessoriess.
