Two N.Z. Records At Kaitaia Jersey Sale

TWO New Zealand records for this year’s pedigree Jersey sales were set at Kaitaia yesterday.

A rising two-year-old heifer of Mr T. Maugham’s Takeke stud was sold for 350gns and the 14 head from this stud made the phenomenal average of 114gns.

These realisations were recorded at a combined sale of the Takeke stud and Mr G. J. Irvine’s Rathmore stud.

The Takeke stud made Dominion records two years ago when Australian breeders attended the sale, paying high figures for both cows and heil'ers.
