Whangarei Scouts To Puislish Norland Paper
The Whangarei To Arahi rover crew Is lo take over the publishing of the scouting paper "Woggle" and to extend its circulation to every scout troop in Northland. This was decided at a rover crew meeting when the Northland county commissioner (Mr P. Hill) and the Dargaville scoutmaster (Mr W. S. Garvie) attended lo see if the rovers would take over the publication of the paper. Mr Hill stated that the Dargaville troop was no longer able to publish the paper as all the senior members had left and Ihc juuiors were not old enough to undertake the work. The rover scout leader (Mr L. E. Philpott) accepted the offer and said that his crew would cndcaAuir to increase circulation and the size of the paper.
“Woggle” was originally intended as the Dargaville troop paper but became the district paper. With the Te Arahi rover crew editing it will now become the Northland county scout paper.
