Ships Keep Lookout For Lost Scow
(Special) AUCKLAND, This Day. All organised search for the scow Haere has been abandoned but ships trading along the Northland coast will continue to keep a lookout.
The liaere left Parengarenga Harbour with a load of silver sand on Wednesday May 28, and should have reached Auckland the following night. Heavy weather was experienced soon after the scow’s departure, and the vessel has not been seen since leaving Parengarenga Harbour.
