More Students Arrested

SHANGHAI, June 3.
One hundred and forty students and one professor were arrested at Tsingtao today and about 50 students and several professors of Shantung university were beaten in a clash with soldiers.
Students in Shanghai and Peiping boycotted classes in protest against Government action in suppressing anti-civil war demonstrations. The Government accused the students of plotting a general Communist uprising.
The situation at Nanking was quieter and the majority of students at the National Central University and Nanking University returned to classes.
