Helicopter Service For Moil, Cargo
(Rec. 11 a.m.) WASHINGTON, June 2. The Civil Aeronautics Board today authorised the Los Angeles Airways Company to operate a helicopter service for the pick-up and delivery of mail and freight in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. This was the first official certificate permitting helicopter transport of mail and cargo.
