Dr Folio Dominion Museum Director

i P.A.) WELLINGTON. This Day. Dr R. A. Falla, who has been curator of the Canterbury Museum since 1937. lias been appointed director of the Dominion Museum. Wellington, in succession to Dr W. R. B. Oliver. The appointment was made by the Board of Trustees of Ihe National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum, in conjunction with the Public Service Commission.

Dr Falla is expected to assume his duties in November. In the meantime, Mr W. J. Phillips will continue as acting-director. The Board of Trustees passed a resolution of appreciation of the valuable services of Dr Oliver during his long period of office. Dr Oliver will continue as a member of the museum management committee.
