No Meals For Savoy Hotel Guests
(Rec. 10.0 a.m.) LONDON. Mar. 14. About 430 guests at the Savoy Hotel had to find lunch elsewhere when the kitchens were left unmanned after a strike called yesterday.
Strikers handed passers-by outside the hotel leaflets declaring that the Savoy management had side-stepped the settlement issues arising from the big hotel strike last October. The union and the Hotel and Restaurant sAssociaticn will discuss the strike on Monday.
