I Three trains will be run each way between Wellington and Auckland on Wednesday, April 2, six on Thursday and two on Good Friday. For returning holiday travellers, four trains from Auckland and three from Wellington •.’•ill run on Easter Monday. On Tuesday three trains will run from Auckland and four from Wellington. The additional train from Wellington will make a connection with the daylight trip of the ferry steamer from Lyttelton. On Wednesday three trains will run each way between Wellington and Auckland ATj CRL AND-ROTORU A In the Auckland-Rotorua and Auck-land-Taneatua areas, the expresses will run daily from Wednesday, April 2, to Wednesday, April 9 inclusive. Provision has also been made for additional expresses between Auckland and New Plymouth on April 1 and April 8, and between New Plymouth and Auckland on April 2 and April 9. Daily services will also be run be-1 tween April 2 and April 9 inclusive in the Wellington-New Plymouth and Wcllington-Gisbornc areas, where the I expresses at present run three days a i week. In addition to these services, night trains will run between Wellington ctnd Napier on Easter Thursday and relief trains will be provided in various areas on selected days. COAL STOCKS LOW With Ihe exception of hospital", screened coal will be withdrawn from general use in the coming week. An effort is being made to restore railway slocks, now at a low ebb. The Mining Controller (Mr C. 11. Benney) said last night that the railway coal shortage was serious, and m some depots only a day's supply was held.
