Sun Shines Again On Ice-bound England

LONDON, March 7.
HIDDEN for days after a brief appearance last week, the sun shone again in London and some parts of the south after a night in which heaped snow was solid on the roads, but the sun during the morning was not strong enough to thaw out any part of snow and ice-bound England.

It was the same throughout the country, where the Automobile Association warned that frozen ridges and slush might cause punctures, rippen tyres and broken springs. It was announced that, despite fears of transport dislocation. London’s meat ration is safe for the week-end.
