Claims Horse Son Of Bernborough
SYDNEY, Tills Day
The only evidence a Queensland farmer, Mr Jack Bach, can produce that his colt Mr Bernie, is a son of Bernborough is the entry of a mating date in his father's diary and the •likeness of the colt itself, says Mr Hugh Dash, in the Sydney Daily Telegraph, which today publishes a front page of comparative pictures. Mr Dash says that the Queensland Turf Club will not permit any horses owned by Mr Bach to race and that, if the ban is not lifted, the colt will be submitted for public auction in Sydney with a reserve price of about £3OOO.
Mr Bach’s trump card is the resemblance of the colt to Bernborough. He is a bay, rising three years, and is beautifully proportioiVd without a bad point. His head is almost a replica of Bernborough's except for the ears which are closer.
