Chickens Carried In Push Chair
During the time of petrol restrictions one was accustomed to seeing a variety of transportation methods put to use.
Yesterday, in Bank and Water Streets (attracting considerable attention, were two small crates of fowls, one mounted on the step and the other on the scat of a medium-sized pushchair.
By this means they were moved from shop to shop while their apparently new owner completed business in the shopping area. The heads of the birds showed through (he top of the crates and. as one man was heard to remark, “they seem to bo getting as much fun from looking at us ns we do by looking at them.”
