Titoki
At the last meeting of the Titoki Women’s Institute, members were the guests of the president (Mrs Fraser). There was a good attendance and two new members were enrolled. The roll call was: “Where I would like to live when I retire.” Competitions resulted: Decorated basket, Mrs Lyddiard 1, Miss K. McDonald 2, Miss L. Lyddiard 3; pot plum jam, Mrs M. Soich 1, Miss P. Fraser 2, Mrs L. Hilford 3; set table mats, Mrs L. Hilford 1, Mrs M. Soich 2 Miss L. Lvddiard 3. Mis A. Alexander has donated a trophy for floral work in the forthcoming year. Miss Shona Farrell presented Mrs Birdsail with a bouquet. Mrs Birdsall, who is leaving the district, has been a member for some years and held the position of secretary for a period. Wishing her every success in her new home, Mrs Fraser presented Mrs Birdsall with a suede knitting bag from her fellow members.
