N.Z. Apples Arrive

(Rec. 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, June 25. The Roslyn Castle which landed 54.000 cases of New Zealand apples on London docks a fortnight ago has been followed by the Athlone Castle which at present is unloading a further 51.000 cases at Southampton. Both shipments arrived in excellent order and were inspected by Mr H. Turner. London manager of New Zealand Fruit Sales Department, and Mr A. B. Congdon, member of the Fruit Export Board. These first two consignments are being distributed in the southern counties, but the London area will have to wait until next week when the Vagrant will unload 10.000 cases for distribution to the city and suburbs.

Further shipments of New Zealand apples are expected to reach Britain by the Port Lincoln, due at Hull on July 6. and the Northumberland, due at London on July 24.
