Miss W. Griffin Succeeds Again
(P.A.) HAMILTON. This Day. Miss W. Griffin, of Kaikohe, clinched her second North Island swimming title at the carnival at Hamilton on Saturday night. This young champion beat her rivals in the 100 yards junior girls freestyle which she won in 72 4-5 seconds. On the first night of the carnival, the Kaikohe girl was successful in the 50 yards race. She won the Auckland title for both these distances. The Hamlton carnival was confined to the junior and intermediate championships.
