Three-Day Cream Collection Smarts
(Special > KAIKOHE, This Day For the first time this season, no Saturday cream collection was made by the Kaikohe Dairy Company last week-end. This meant that last'week there wore only three collection days —Monday, Wednesday and Fridav.
Last year, which was approximately normal, a six-day collection was started by the elimination of Sunday carting in the middle of April. Other cuts followed fairly quickly: three-day collections are usual by the end of April.
The factory is now making los? than half the amount of butter made at the corresponding date last year—perhaps a more emphatic pointer to the state of the dairying industry in this district than the collections. '
