The decision of the Waipu Agricultural and. Pastoral Association to stage a grand victory gymkhana or. March 23 has brought expressions of approval from people over a wide a rea. In pre-war years show day at Waipu was a memorable occasion, and now that the drought has made it impossible for farmers to bring their stock up to good show condition, the substitution of a gymkhana is regarded as the ideal way of keeping the spirit of show day alive. The ofi'ering of excellent prize money b a step in the right direction.
