Siam Accepts British Terms

BOMBAY, Dec. 19

The Prime Minister of Siam (Frame j) in an interview with “The Times of India” correspondent, said an agreement would probably be signed shortly between the Siamese Government and the British authorities in Singapore.

“I do not think the British terms are unduly harsh. I believe the punishment should fit the crime, but must be tempered to meet circumstances.” The correspondent says that among the terms were:— Siam to meet the maintenance and expenses of all Allied forces stationed on Siamese soil.

To pay compensation for all damage done to British property during Japanese occupation. The export and production of commodities such as rice, tin, teak and rubber, will be regulated by the Allied military authorities until the world scarcity of these products ceases.
