Undefended Divorces
A long list of undefended divorce petitions occupied Mr Justice Callan and Mr Justice Cornish in the Auckland Supreme Court. On the ground that ,the parties had been separated for more than three years a decree nisi was issued to Alice Hallmond (Mr Astley) against William Alfred Leonard Hallmond.
Desertion was the ground on which a decree nisi was issued to John Charles Stewart- McGee (Mr Ross) against Grace Messines McGee. Proof of adultery having been given against the respondent, a decree nisi was issued to Frederick William Arnold (Mr Violoux) against Rouminea Arnold and Dimitri Turketo. The respondent having failed to comply with an order for restitution of conjugal rights, Stanley Lancelot Ruddell (Mr Ross) was granted a decree against Rose Olive Ruddell. In a petition for restitution of conjugal rights, Denys Hugh Desmond Hoare (Mr Haynes) was granted an order for the return of Madge Gwendoline Hoare within 28 days.
