Goebbels, Other Nazi Chiefs Reported Dead

(Rec. 1 p.m.) LONDON, May 6. The German-controlled Prague radio declared that Goebbels, Field-Marshal Keitel and Martin Bormann, once Hitler’s successor, died fighting in the Reich Chancellery at Berlin. The British found the bullet-ridden body of Field-Marshal von Bock who commanded the Central Army Group in the initial invasion of Russia. Dr Hans Frank, former Nazi Gov-ernor-General of Poland, has been captured by the 7th Army in the Berchtesgaden area. He slashed his wrist in an attempt to commit suicide when taken, but was unsuccessful. The Luxemburg radio says that Wilhelm Frick, Nazi Protector of Bohemia and Moravia, has been captured by the Americans near Munich. Moscow “Red Star” discloses that on the eve o£ the capitulation of Berlin, a large number of S.s. men and general staff officers, among whom were many war criminals, committed suicide. The bodies were found in the Chancellery, which house the staff throughout' the siege.
