Rope In Huns Fleeing Before Russian Army
(Rec. 1.15 p.m.) LONDON, May 6. The American 9th Army in the past three days has taken 65,766 Germans fleeing before the Russian forces. This afternoon R.A.F. Lancasters brought back to Britain more than 1800 freed prisoners of war. Prisoners released by the United States 7th Army include Lieutenant Max de Hamel, a relative of Mr. Churchill. The French Ist Army , liberated a relative of General de Gaulle and a son of M. Clemenceau. New York radio announces that General Bors, former commander-in-chief of the Warsaw patriot army, has been liberated.
