Miners To Have Extra Meat Ration
Miners throughout New Zealand have been issued with an extra supply of meat coupons, enabling them to purchase a further 10£d worth per week, according to advice received today. Issued today at the Kamo and Hikurangi mines by the union’s officials the coupons were secured as a result of representations to the Government by the New Zealand Miners’ Federation Each week’s coupons, the first of which are available for immediate use comprise two 3d coupons and a 4id. are pink in colour and a 12 months’ supply is contained on the sheet.
