(Special) LONDON, March 6. "Tunisian Victory,” the latest fulllength film, will be shown in London. It is a camera-eye record of the planning, organisation, convoying and landings in North Africa and linking up with the Eighth Army for the final thrust in Tunisia.
It shows all stages, from the Roose-velt-Churchill conference in the White House, Washington, to shots of the defeated German army marching as prisoners to cages led by a brass band. It skilfully knits the role of British. American and French forces and makes special reference to the New Zealanders’ “left hook” at El Hamma. Battle scenes were shot in the frontline by official film units. It is a first-class documentary film! of historical interest, for, in addition to the Washingtori conference, it also shows Casablanca conference, and the meeting of Giraud and de Gaulle. Other scenes include Darlan, Rommel and all Allied service leaders.
The film is being sent to New Zealand.
