The National Executive of the Mineworkers’ Federation has decided to accept the principle of the Government proposals for a new wage system for the mining industry. The Minister for Fuel and Power (Major Lioyd George) said today that the situation was very much better.
When the executive of the Mineworkers’ Federation met ki London today to consider South Wales reaction to the Government proposals for stabilisation of wages until 1948, it accepted, in principle, the Government’s proposals for the coalmining industry.
