Britain Is Spending £15,000,000 A Day On War
(B.G’.W. 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY. March IG. In reply to a question in the House of Commons, ihc Chancellor of the Exchequer (Sir John Anderson), stated that war expenditure had averaged about £15,000,000 dailv, in recent weeks. At this time of the year it is normally higher than usual. The average daily rate over the linancial year to date has been about £13,500,000. „ * . Sir John added that no financial limit had ever been imposed on war expenditure.
