Announces South African Post-War Air Policy
(Rec. 1 p.m.) LONDON, March IG. A Capetown message says that the Minister for Transport (Mr Sturrock) describing the post-war aviation policy in South Africa, announced the Government’s intention to construct three national aerodromes, each to cc ,t £1,000.000, at Johannesburg, Capetwon and Durban. Johannesburg would be an international aerodrome. South Africa intended to retain sovereignty over her own air space and the aerodromes would be built by the South African railways. The project would be viewed in the light of the Union’s needs as a whole.
