Liaison Officer For N.Z. Airmen In India
LONDON, March 14
New Zealanders serving in India with the R.A.F. now have Flight.-Lieut. T. Twigge (Palmerston North) as liaison officer, air headquarters, New Delhi. Fit.-Lieut. Twigge, who was previously attached to R.N.Z.A.F. headquarters, London, said: "Several hundred New Zealanders, including ground staff, are serving in India. Some of them operated in Malaya, Java and Burma before going to India. Others have made many sorties over Europe. So far I have seen few of these men, but hope soon to visit every squadron containing New Zealanders." Fit. Lieut. Twigge is giving attention to promotion, pay and welfare questions and also distribution of New Zealand news.
