Medical Exams For N.Z.E.F. Furlough Draft

The Army authorities are arranging the medical examination of all furlough personnel excepting those who have been medically examined since returning to New Zealand. Certain classes of furlough personnel have been given the right of electing to remain in New Zealand. Such personnel even if they so elect to remain are nevertheless required to attend for medical examination.

Medical Boards are being held at Whangarei on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week. Further boards are being held at Dargaville on Monday and Wednesday of next week and at Kawakawa on Tuesday and Thursday of next week.

The medical examination includes a chest X-ray and for this reason all personnel north of Kawakawa will attend at that centre for boarding.
