Whangarei Pigeon Club
The Whangarei Homing Pigeon Club held three races last week-end. The Auckland ticket race resulted: G. W. Drayson’s b.b.c. (29) . 1; E. J. Gilbey’s b.c.c. (30) Elue Peter, 2; H. Alderton’s b.c.p. (335) Jack of Spades, 3. Palmerston North yearling interval: The birds were liberated in the rain and encountered very bad weather, only one bird, T. Broomfield’s b.c.p.h. (227), which arrived at 9.30 a.m. on Sunday, arriving' home in race time.
Wanganui yearling interval results: H. Alderton’s b.b.c. (255) Aero, 1; G. W. Drayson's b.c.c. (242) Sirrah, 2; E. J. Gilbey's b.c.c. (348) Flash, 3. Only three birds homed in race time, arriving on Sunday afternoon.
