New Italian Govt. Expected To Declare War On Germany

Allied headquarters officially announce that a new Italian Government has been formed with Badoglio as head and Generals Ambrosio, Chief of General Staff, Roatta, Chief of Army Staff, Sandalli, Air Minister, Admiral Courten, Minister for the Navy, Duke of Aquarone, Minister of the. Royal Household.
The “Daily Telegraph’s” diplomatic correspondent says that the first, result of the conference between Genei’al Eisenhower and Badoglio is likely to be an Italian declaration of war on Germany. Logical Liberal Leader
Count Sfoi-za has disclosed that he is soon leaving for Italy with the permission of the State Department. He ux-ged anti-Fascist Italians in America to follow him in order to form a “Cromwellian Army” to drive out the Germans.
Count Sforza, whom the “New York Times” describes as the logical leader of the Liberal Government to take command in Italy’s ci'isis, ux-ged a clean sweep of old authoritative remnants including Badoglio and King Emmanuel and added that Mr. Churchill must have been badly informed \vhen he called on the Italians to rally round the King.
