Warkworth Land Claim Succeeds

Special evidence was taken on Thursday and Friday before Mr Justice Fair and Msssrs V.‘Clay and J. M. Ellift'e. sitting as assessors, in the land compensation cae to decide the amount to be paid under the Public Work Act for 92 acres of land with sea frontage at Tillers Bay. nine miles from Warkworth taken by the Rodnev Countv Council from D. V. Moore for the purpose of a recreation reserve. The Coudt gave a majority decision for the claimant for payment fixed on a subdivisional basis of £2325. with costs against the county council of 30 guineas for each assessor and £55 costs, in addition to witnesses expenses and disbursements.
