Waipu Stock Sale
Messrs. Dalgety and Co,, Ltd., report that a good yarding of all classes of stock came forward to the monthly Waipu sale held yesterday. An exceptionally good sale resulted in a total clearance, service bulls, dairy cattle and beef being' in particularly keen demand with mature Jersey bulls making up to 28 guineas, yearlings 18 guineas, cx beef to £l7/10/-, and calved cows to £l2. Small yearling Jersey heifers were also in request and made to £5/15/-, whilst sheep, pigs, horses and sundries realised ruling rates. Following is the range of the prices realised: —Heavy fat bullocks, to £l7/10/-; medium weight, to £l4; Jersey bullocks, to £l2/2/6; medium fat cows, £9 to £lO/15/-; light fat cows and heifers, £6/10/- to £B/15/-; boners, £4 to £5/15/-; mature pedigree Jersey bulls, 18 1 /? gns. to 28 gns.; pedigree yearling Jersey bulls, 15 gns. to 18 gns.; grade Jersey bulls, £5 to £10: best dairv cows, in milk, £ 10/15/to £l2: others, £B/7/6 to £9/10/-; aged and inferior, £4/10/- to £8; springing cows, £7/7/6 to £9; springing heifers. £7 to £B/10/-: m.t. two-year Jersey heifers, £3/17/6 to £5/5/-; m.t. yearling Jersey heifers, £3/15/- to £5/15/-; m.t. yearling Shorthorn heifers, £3/15/- to £4; Jersey cows, with calves at foot, £3/12/6 to £4/10/-; small crossbred steers, £4/5/to £5/10/-; store pigs, £2/10/-; one hack, £ls.
