Hull To Attend Moscow Conference
NEW YORK, Sept. 25
There is a strong possibility that Mr. Cordell Hull, will attend the forthcoming tripartite conference in Moscow, says Hie Washington correspondent of the “New York Herald-Tribune.” Mr Cordell Hull originally was reluctant to attempt the long plane trip but is believed to have changed his mind after conferring with the Ambassador to Moscow (Admiral Standley) and President Roosevelt. Many ticklish problems are likely to arise at the conference, requiring an American representative with Mr. Hull’s prestige and position. The “Herald-Tribune” adds that it is authoritatively confirmed that Admiral Standley is not returning to Moscow. His successor will be Mr. Harriman, Mr. Roosevelt’s representative in Britain.
