Rehabilitate Men In Former Occupations
(Special) AUCKLAND, This Day. Speaking at the annual meeting of Radio Limited, the chairman (Mr W. J. Truseon) wtio is also the Manufacturers' Association president, said that reemployment of returned soldiers and employment of present, staffs in the immediate post-war period will present n 'real problem unless assistance or relief is given io the industry. Mr Truscot t declared that soldiers should be provided with an opportunity of going back immediately into the industries and occupations they had left. Later, when the men settled clown, would be time enough for new occupations and investment. Thus, much loss and many disappointments would be avoided. It manufacturers, short of essential materials and using overworked or obsolete machinery, expended their whole earnings on wages and taxation, etc., their employment capacity would be affected.
