Soldier-Member Welcomed To House
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. This Dny.j A very cordial welcome back from: service in the Middle East was ex-j tended in the House of Representatives, yesterday by the Prime Minister (Mr.; Fraser) and the Leader of the Opposi-; tion (Mr. Holland) to Captain T. L.j MacDonald, member for Mataura. Mr.; Fraser said that he hoped the honour-J able member would soon be restored j to health and would be able to undertake his military or Parliamentary j duties. He expressed appreciation oil Parliament for the services of Messrs.! MacDonald. Skinner and ethers, some! of whom had not returned, and also! stated that Parliament considered that | these men had worthily upheld thej honour oi the House. : Similar views were expressed b;yj Mr. Holland, and Mr. MacDonald, who; briefly replied, was greeted with applause.
