W.W.S.A. Afternoon At Kaitaia
A highly successful “boh in” afternoon, run by the W.W.S.A. in the A.N.A. cKtbroom at Kaitaia on Friday, netted round about £3O for the Mangonui County Patriotic Fund. The produce stall, in charge of Mcsdames Morpeth, Molloy and P. Ferguson, was open for trade in the morning, and their share of the profits was £ll. In the afternoon, a series of competitions were run by Mesclames Powell. Sunnan and A. Thompson. Winners of these were ae follows: Mystery parcel, Mrs. Knightbridge; treasure hunt, Mesclames Reynolds, Kelly, Carson and A. Thompson; measurement competition, Mrs. W. Gcard; cards into har, Mrs. W. Parker; fireside cricket, Mrs. Noble; paper tearing, Mrs. Perkins. The doll was won by Mrs. Cashman. Afternoon tea was provided by W.W. S.A. members, with Mrs. G. McKenzie in charge. The W.W.S.A. is very grateful to all those who donated goods for sale and afternoon tea, and made the effort such a success. .
