League Of Mothers’ Meeting
Thi> devotional service and league hymn opened tin- August meeting, when Mrs. Inkster presided ever a fair attendance of members. The formation of a creche war discussed, and notice was given of the ttansfer of meetings to the Presbyterian church hall, now that it was no longer required as a day-school classroom. Mrs. Phillips entertained with a humorous item. ‘She also read a prayer. Mrs. Jensen was the' guest-speaker, her subject being "The Art of Appreciation." This practice was especially necessary Between parents and children. Sympathy and understanding helped greatly. Small beginning's and encouragement often led to greater things. Reward was won by giving small services and gaining confidences. Examples were given by the speaker, who enjoined all present to make the most oi the opportunities and enjoy and appreciate The happiness and privileges gained thereby. Hearty voies of thanks were accorded Mrs. Jensen and Mrs. Phillips. Afternoon tea brought the meeting to a close. The hostesses wery Mosdames V/oolford, Coleman, Wallace aits MeDell.
