Hamilton Restores Late Shopping Night
(Special.) HAMILTON, This Day. One of the causes of absenteeism among workers has been attributed to the closing of shops on Friday nights in order to save electricity, said the Secretary for Labour (Mr. H. E. Moston) in a circular lct’cr received by the Hamilton Retailers' Association. The president cf the association (Mr. A. L. Fowl announced that the late shopping night in Hamilton would be restored as from August 27. The majority of the shops in !he town have been closed on Friday nights during the last three months.
