Argentine Meat Purchase
LONDON, August 21. The British Ministry for Food has completed arrangements with the Argentine for the purchase of the exportable surplus cl Argentine meat for two years ending September 30, 1944. Shipments proceeded in the past season in anticipation of such an agreement. The Ministry made the purchase on behalf of the United Nation.'. A similar agreement with Brazil and Uruguay may be finalised in the next few days. Supplier, will be allocated in accordance with recommendations of the Combined Food Board.
