Maori Baby Died Week After Father
KAIKOHE, This Dnv. The adjourned inquest into the death of a Maori baby-aged 10 months. Kobe Tini Hau. who died on July 30. was completed by Mr. A. J. Martin, district coroner, at Kaikohe. A verdict of death due to suppurative meningitis was returned. As there had been no visible signs of the cause of death, a post-mortem had been held at the Bay of Islands Hospital at Kawakawa. The baby, whose mother, Whare Iliunga Hau. resided at Te Iringa Maori Settlement, was predeceased by its father by one week.
