“My Sister Eileen” At Regent
When two girls decide to leave rheir small home town to make good in the big, wild city—laughter commences. When the same two girls attain their respective desires, and the plot is brought to a successful conclusion —laughter finishes. “My Sister Eileen,” co-starring Rosalind Russell and Janet Blain as the beautiful sisters, and Brian Aherne as the city slicker, opened at the Regent Theatre last night. Hilarity and comedy are the main themes of this film. Two sisters. Eileen (Janet Bair) and Ruth (Rosalind Russell) Sherwood leave their sheltered home to make good in the big city. They come into contact with the editor (Brian Aherne) of a magazine, whose ways of making love are better, evidently, than his ways of editing his magazine. The conclusion of the plot reflects great credit .on the players and the director, who have made the picture a comical masterpiece, worthy of even the most aristocratic and selective audience. The supports include the latest air mail news and a winter sports film.
