Stabilisation Committee
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This, Day, The Minister for Supply (Mr. Sullivan), in thanking Messrs. Marshall and Walsh for acceding to the Government’s request to continue as members of the Economic Stabilisation- Commission, said: “I am conscious of the heavy demands on them in many other capacities, and of the burden of responsibility which the Governmerit has asked them to retain, and oi the condition that they have imposed—that they serve as before, without; vermineration.” It had been pointed out that: the reference in a report telegraphed yesterday to the reconstituted body serving without remuneration, may have indicated that members originally accepted payment for their services. This, as the full text of the Minister's statement made clear, was not the case.
