Rail Concessions For Children Extended
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. This Day. An announcement of alteration in the scale of children’s fares on New Zealand railways was made by the Minister for Railways (Mr Semple) today. He stated that at present children up to three years of age are carried free and those between the ages of three and 12 half fare. From Monday, August 2, children up to four years of age will be carried free and those between four and 14 years will be carried at half adult fare. Similar action has been taken on the various railway systems in Australia.
