NEW YORK. December 16,
A Ddmei dispatch from Saigon quoted Yoshizawa. Japanese Ambassador to IndoChina as saying that he had reached “an agreement in opinion” with the French Governor-General (Admiral Decoux) concerning a new economic accord for 1943. Yoshizawa explained that the present economic agreement was concluded prior to the Pacific war for the period ending 1943 but the situation arising from the war required partial revision.
