Kamo Stock Sale
Wall or Wakolin, Limited, report having held their usual weekly sale ol' cattle and pigs at Kamo yesterday when good entries of cattle, pigs and sheep were submitted to a large attendance of buyers. Competition was keen for all classes and a total clearance resulted. Following are prices realised:— Dairy Cattle: Best dairy cows, close to profit, £6 to £9; choice heifers, close to profit, £6 to £B/10/-; good quality backward cows. £5/15/- to £7; good quality backward heifers, to £6/7/6; cows and heifers in milk, £4 to £7/10/-.
Beef and Stoic Cattle: Heavy prime heifers, £9; fat cows, £5/10/- to *£7/10/-: store cows, £4/5/- to £5; cows and calves, £4/10/- to £6/7/6; 3-year coloured steers, to £7/5/-; 4-year steers, to £B/8/-; 2-year steers. £5 to £6/12/6; extra choice yearling Jersey heifers, to £5/10/-; medium quality. £3/15/- to £4/12/6; yearling Jersey cross heifers, £2/5/- lo £3/12/6; yearling S.H. steers. £3/15/- to £4/10/-: yearling coloured steers, £2 to £3/5/-; yearling S.H. heifers, £2/5/- to £3/10/-: boner cows, £2/10/- to £4; boner bulls. £4 to £7/10/-.
Pigs: Heavy baconers, £4 to £4/10/-; medium baconers, £3/15/- to £4; heavy porkers. £3/5/- to £3/13/-; medium porkers, £2/15/- to £3/4/-; large stores, £2/14/- to £3/2/-; medium stores. £2/5/to £2/13/-; slips, £l/11/- to £2/6/-; weaners, good. £l/6/- to £2; medium weaners, 15/- to £l/5/-; choppers, £l/10/to £2/5/-; breeding sows. £2 to £4.
