First Woman C.O. Objects To Work In Soap Factory

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A woman, selling soap in a department store, pleaded conscientious scruples against wrapping it in a factory, when she appealed before the Manpower Committee against a decision of the Lower Hutt Manpower Officer.

Appellant objected to being deflected to any industry, claiming the right to choose her own occupation. The appeal was dismissed. The appellant. Mrs G. J. P.
