3 Months’ Gaol For Milk Thefts
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. This Day. For the theft of milk and cream from the Wellington City Corporation by whom he was employed, Forbes Ralph Winter, a soldier, and William Roland Orr, motor driver, were each sentenced to three months’ imprisonment by the Magistrate (Mr. Stout) who remarked that the theft of milk from the corporation seemed to be a regular ramp. The value of the milk taken in Winter’s case was £ 12/3/4 between February 7 and May 1. and in Orr’s case £2B/5/- between February 14 and May 30. Cn two charges of stealing petrol. Crr was convicted and discharged.
