Flag Stocks Exhausted
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. This Day. Evidence of the intensity and extent of interest in United Nations Day. to be held on Saturday, has been the demand for flags from all parts of the Dominion, and the Department of Internal Affairs, after ransacking every possible supply, has had to report that the stock is exhausted. The Department urged that even if no flags were available, the celebration should be carried through in the spirit of President Roosevelt’s request.
